Day Program
Daily Developmental Programming
Higher Hopes currently has two programs serving adults in the southwest and northwest valleys. Higher Hope's Creative Life Skills Program was created with a continuum of education and increased independence being its main focus. These program courses include: pre-employment training, transitional support, reading, writing and math modules, financial management, creative arts, gardening, community involvement, computer lab, volunteering, culinary arts, and traveling. To help support independence; Higher Hopes has a wellness program that promotes healthy eating, daily physical fitness that also includes Special Olympics.
Employment Opportunities
Competitive Employment and Pre-Employment Training
Higher Hopes employment program consists of on-site job training and employment at Higher Hopes Glendale which provides jobs such as clerical, retail associate, janitorial, and refurbishment. The employment program also trains for positions in landscaping and activity lead positions within the community. Higher Hopes assists members with seeking competitive employment within the community and provides continued support to ensure members maintain their employment so that they may become valued employees.
Transportation
Quality Transportation throughout the Northwest and Southwest Valley
Higher Hopes provides transportation to adults enrolled in the Day Programs and the Employment Program to and from their residential settings as well as to off-site job sites. Higher Hopes transportation consists of wheelchair-accessible vans and multiple-passenger vehicles.
